The Cabin in the Pines

Staying in John and Nancy’s wonderful cabin is a unique and worthwhile experience when visiting Tennessee. It is a real treat to turn up the road and be greeted by the sight of the cabin, the berry patch, the pond and the fabulous trees. The cabin itself is well-appointed with a lovely bathroom and exceedingly comfortable beds. Our one regret was that we had only booked a single night here.

We loved the cabin. Slept my wife and me plus our 3 boys comfortably. A beautiful piece of history with all modern conveniences and amazingly well done. If you are a fan of historical updates and remodels you will be absolutely intrigued by this cabin. Gracious hosts, and surrounded by a blackberry patch and fruit trees. Great farm setting with pond. Highly recommended.

What an amazing cabin!!! We made it a point to drive thru for the night on our trip from the East Coast to the West Coast. I highly recommend this cabin, or any of their others, for anyone who needs a night of rest and a little get away. A very easy drive to Nashville or Memphis and very easy to get to the cabin. We will definitely be back. You also get to explore the little village they have there, and a free safari park! A must-see for everyone....such an awesome and beautiful place!

This was one of the most beautiful cabins I’ve seen. We had a wonderful two days of barely leaving the chairs by the fireplace. I could have stayed another month. Dr. Freeman was a gracious host and very informative. If only it were nearer Seattle we would be there multiple times a year.
